Located in the southern part of the state of California, San Diego is one of the most beautiful coastal cities of the country. The city of San Diego has the largest population in the state. Population of San Diego is in fact the one of the largest among all the cities in US. San Diego comes with a number of exotic beaches. There are a number of highways and freeways that runs through the city. Due to the extensive network of roadways in San Diego, transportation from one part of the city to another has become quite convenient. The various interstate highways that passes through the city are- I-8, I-15, I-5 and I-805. The major state highways running through San Diego are- CA-94, CA-163, CA-56, CA-125, CA-52 and CA-75. The effectiveness of the system of transportation in San Diego has increased by these various highways as they not only helped the commuters to reach to their desired destinations but have also resulted in the reduction of the logistic charges incurred by the several organizations.
In the city of San Diego, train service is provided by Amtrak and Coaster. You can avail a number of Amtrak as well as Coaster trains to go to the various cities in the state of California. You can even avail a number of buses to visit different parts of the city. The city of San Diego is also served by the San Diego International Airport that witnesses the operation of umpteen international and domestic flights. Water transportation in San Diego is facilitated from the San Diego Port. You can get to see numerous cruise ships and cargo ships harbored at the magnificent port.
